Dallas Childbirth Classes and Doula Services
UPDATE (August 2020): I have begun my journey as a registered nurse and will be working in a mother-baby unit in a local hospital. I am not taking new doula clients at this time, but may teach private childbirth classes on a limited basis.
I’m Olivia Welkener, and I provide doula services and childbirth classes for families in the Dallas, Texas area, including McKinney, Allen, and Plano. Whether you are expecting your first or fifth child…
I would be delighted to help you provide a nurturing environment for your little one, beginning in the womb and as he or she makes their debut into the world.
While finding the resources you need can be a daunting task, this is a great place to begin your journey! I invite you to browse my website or contact me so I can learn about your desires and discuss the services I provide. If I don’t have doula services or childbirth classes available for your due date, I am happy to recommend other capable childbirth educators or doulas who can serve you.

CERTIFIED DOULA (DONA) & CHILDBIRTH EDUCATOR
Why Dallas Natural Childbirth?
My mission is to inform, empower, and nurture expectant parents. While most people who pursue my services are seeking a natural birth, my childbirth classes will prepare you well whether you desire a natural birth, or you are simply seeking to understand your options. As a doula, my role is to support you in your choices, whatever path your birth takes.
INFORM. “If you don’t know your options, you don’t have any.”*
I help you to understand the natural progress of labor and birth, so that you can work with your body. As a result, you will be able to make informed decisions as you learn your options regarding interventions, natural alternatives, and their benefits and risks. In addition, you will learn comfort techniques, positions , and strategies that can help your labor progress.
EMPOWER. I will be a supportive presence as you make choices for your birth and your baby.
My desire is that you will feel empowered as you learn how to work with your body in labor and birth. I will not speak for you; my hope is that my presence allows you to find strength in your own voice.
NURTURE. As a doula, I am there to serve you, every step of the way…
from the prenatal weeks and months, through continual support during labor and birth, to immediate postpartum support. As a childbirth educator, I teach in the comfort of my home or yours, whichever you choose. If you would like personal accounts of my role with local families, please contact me for referrals, or read more here.
