The Final Days of Pregnancy – 3 Short and Inspiring Reads

Are you in your final days of pregnancy? Three of my twelve babies came ten days past their estimated due dates, so I know the challenge of waiting.  I remember well the irrational thought, “I think I will be pregnant for the rest of my life”; the temptation to induce even when there was no medical reason;  the endless, well-meaning, though not-well-thought-out comments – “You’re still pregnant?!” “Your doctor can do something about that, you know?!” “You look so big – are you in pain?”

As a childbirth educator, doula, and friend, I find myself recommending these two articles and my favorite Psalm again and again.  I hope they will lift your spirit during these last days of waiting.  Regardless of your faith background, you may find this Psalm encouraging!   All three of these have been around for a while, but the messages here are timeless.
